Photos from a loyal reader and friend

Mr. Richard Richardson, from my home state of Massachusetts is a regular reader of my blog and a travel photography enthusiast himself. When ever I put up a new post, shortly after I receive an email from Mr. Richardson with comments about my stories, and the similar journeys him and his wife, Nancy have experienced on their trips to Tanzania. Often Mr. Richardson sends photos from his past adventures and it is very interesting to compare the photos and wonder what Arusha and Tanzania were like 11 years ago. Here are some of his photos…

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Richardson right here in Arusha at Shanga Riverhouse, on the first day of his safari. Mr. Richardson has kept up with my progress and offered encouragement and hope after some of my obviously frustrated blog posts. It was lovely to meet in person and hear stories from all of his travels. It was also very nice to have someone from home here to assure me and make me feel like this is all worth the effort.
